Uk greetings - Digital Design Ideas

After working on some hand rendered illustrations, some computer based and vector designs seem applicable to work on.

Digital Design ideas:
Brainstorming - keeping in theme of characters and bright playful imergey.

I am taking the same process as with the hand rendered designs, focusing on all the different aspects and themes:

Theme of travel:

Using shapes and overlays creating a 'train' travel design was quite hard. I wanted to only use shapes and see what developed - so i chose to uses basic shapes to make the train and settings.

The design is very simple and works well to convey the messages:


- Good luck on your travels
- Enjoy your travels
- travel safe

Whcih are all on cards we see today in stores and retailers. The use of bright imagery works with a pale background and the train looks as if it is moving forward, which could be a positive symbolically. 

BACK TO CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT: DIGITAL DESIGN:

With my designs I still want to create a 'character'

Bird:

The designs for the characters came from very basic shapes and allowed me to use simple illustration to develop these.

The designs i have achieved digitally have all been developed, and look slightly child - like. 

This means that my designs have taken a child-like arrangement and persona. Compared to the quite quirky detailed designs of the hand rendered illustartions. 

This block colour and simple illustartions differ alot from the hand rendered.

The age range and idea formats and mesage are all different.
