From the research i have gathered on colour whilst printing i decided to create this pattern. I wanted to print the design in CMYK and wanted each section to represent this.
The main idea for creating this would be so that i could emboss and foil each layer. The use of this would include specific print methods and the foiling and embossing would and texture, layers and variety.
Since doing the screen printing exercise i had taken some photographs to develop another option for a front cover or contents page for one of the booklet designs. The image worked better duo toned an i felt it would add a more balanced equality between colour and type and format.
Adding the type:
Croping and manipulating the images to see which designs worked best with the type.
I then decided to add in the image of the front cover to add aspects of lighter and darker sections of the image. This is so that the type would become clear and precise when reading.
Layout options:
I decided to then go back to the original format and decided to change the format colour of the backgournd. i decided that the lighter the background the more prominent the text could be.
I wanted the text layout to be simple, and quite eye-catching:
I feel the deeper shades of the design works quite well to develop form, colour and layout.
Adding in the image with the colour background and text:
I feel that this takes away from the simplicity of the design.
Variation of colour:
This image doesn't work well as it is to light for the image to be clear.
To create a very informative layout i had to research some design books. These books were aimed at older designers so the layout was informative and not as creative as i would have hoped.
I had to add variation of colour to develop the
Initia Layout Designs:
Quite formal and the text doesn't reeky have any format or layout. this will need to be improved.
I feel that these design do not reflect my best work but i am struggling to come up with a design that is formal but involves and excited the user.
This is also my First time using and creating on INDESIGN and i am struggling to come to grips with layout and what works etc.
I have arranged guide lines and ruler etc but i feel that the designs are still weak and i need MOTIVATION and more research to develop these.
