Mini - Evaluation of OUGD404 DESIGN PRINCIPLES

Throughout this module i have discovered things about the way I design and the way I learn. I have used techniques and gained knowledge in specific areas, which has influenced me as a designer. I feel that the module has taught me many things to do with type, colour, practice and insight.
Doing the sessions has allowed me to broaden aspects of my design on the theory side of things. Colour theory has taught me about pantone colours, contrasts and many other things that i can then use within my practical work.
The type and grid, i found extremely interesting and creative. I thought the process of learning was well planned out and insightful. I discovered point size and the maths behind design and also discovered how to arrange and work out grid lines.
By going back through sections of my work i feel that i could of improved on a lot of things, especially the theory side of design. I enjoyed creating the 'What is a Line' project but feel that i could of enhanced my research work greatly. The theory side of my work also needs more research to back up specific ideas. The Pantone project that i did i also feel is lacking. It still needs work and if i had more time i would continue with exploring the project and getting to grips with contrast, hue, etc.
Overall i feel that doing this project has given me a real insight into the theory of design and i feel that i want to take this further.
