Creative Network - Hellfire: Starting Points Designs

Choosing a colour pallet for my designs :
Inital thoughts :

RED / ORANGE / PURPLE / PINK
elements fo fire and mixed gender. Red = danger - hot, refrence to hell.

I wanted to incorpatarate the fire style, with use of dots and using differnet scales of dots i feel that this would create a unique and transferable image.

Design Development:

I've started to devlop the main elements of 'fire', through using small dots of red. I want to get a basic shape first so that I can then start to think about obvious imergey against type.

I feel that the dots are best portrayed through a non- organized layout. They can overlap and fit to each section like a jogsaw. I want the desogn to be quite 'ruff and ready' so that it doesnt look too 'posh' and appeal to the right target audence.

I started to devlop some ways of experimenting with type, Using circles to cut off sections, and experiemntsing with the typeface -FRiday13th.

I used the same red colour as on the fire symbol to see what effect it could have on the logo / type.
The red, seems to me, to be quite tacky and doesnt preserve the right elements. it looks cheap and i feel that maybe black type colour would be more suited.

The development of the fire symbol looks quite effective. It seems quite - blurry - but it has the effect I was after. The use of creating this pattern with dots as allowed the image to soften and therefore not seems as harsh. This means that the design elements allow Hellfire to refelect fire but not make it to over bearing.
