Get a quote very early on, before you start the job in earnest if possible
Identical specification for 3 print estimators to work to. (print companies on same job see what differs)
Learn roughly what things cost (Unit Cost)
Be aware of special sizes and finishes. 
Understand viable minimum quantities
Extra / Authors corrections
Delivery?
If printers change things e.g.. spell check - they will charge a LOT! of money! 












In relation to Design practice - Published Book, I need to portray all this information into a visual and informative format so that i can then print > use examples > information and images.
