DESIGN PRINCIPLES // TYPE AND GRID / WORKSHOP


We then went on to measure up some grids on newspapers and also measure to find out the point size and leading size of the certain type. 
Our task for next week was to collect a newspaper and draw a grid, then measure the type out. 
We then had to get an exsisting magazine with a not to fancy layout, in which we can sketch up a grid over the top, then transfer that grid onto a different sheet of paper ready to be used in our next session, where we will learn to sketch some thumbnail layouts to help design layouts before moving straight into InDesign. 







WE THEN HAD TO DEVLOP THE GRID LINES FOR A BASIC MAGAZINE WITH 3 IMAGES INCLUDED:
